Pocket XM Radio for MS Smartphone released

There are 2 satellite radio companies in USA, each offering several music, talk and entertainment channels: XM Radio (number one with regard to number of paying subscribers now) and Sirius (may become number because next year Howard Stern moves there). Fortunately (to some extent) this satellite radio can be listened to also over Internet - it is very useful because many people have their satellite radio receivers in cars and can't take them elsewhere... While in Europe there is also satellite radio it is however mostly based on rebroadcasting of FM and DAB radio stations and is not available in cars. However most importantly satellite radio in USA - XM Radio and Sirius - have no limits on what can be said - something not seen in radio stations in Europe - so people can experience interesting content that cannot be found in terrestrial radio anywhere. Terrestrial radio must conform to FCC regulations and satellite radio doesn't need to conform to them at all. Napster joins forces with XM Satellite Radio

Napster has joined forces with XM Satellite Radio in the US, with the two companies testing a combined service.
The test is available to XM's five million US subscribers and lets them listen to music through the satellite radio service which they can then also buy and download through Napster.
Music purchased through the service will be playable on some future Windows-powered portable digital devices.
"XM + Napster greatly enhances the discovery aspect of XM by letting people instantly purchase and download the music they hear on XM Radio Online from Napster's catalogue," said Hugh Panero, president and CEO of XM Satellite Radio.
